National Information Officer’s Association
The Media Office was selected by NIOA to teach a workshop session to
hundreds of public information officers around the country on how to reach
more citizens through video-based technology. Lt. Christopher Cook and
Officer Zhivonni McDonnell furthered APD’s international footprint by being
touted as one of the most successful agencies in the country on social media.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Arlington Police executives donned
high heels for a good cause, when
they participated in the “Walk a
Mile In Her Shoes” event to raise
awareness of domestic violence. The
chiefs joined other men who put on
heels to walk from Mission Arlington
to Lincoln Square. This December
2014 fundraiser was the first time
the event was held in Arlington and
