2011. For the fourth year in a row, Arlington, too, is experiencing record low crime numbers.
Reporting
The Arlington Police Department
voluntarily participates in reporting
numbers as part of the Federal
Bureau of Investigations’ Uniform
Crime Reporting Program. Each
month, the department submits
a report to the Texas Department
of Public Safety, which is then
in turn submitted to the FBI.
This reporting workflow allows
the state to collect and analyze
data regarding crime trend
patterns on a local, county, and
state level through the Crime
Index. The Crime index is a
combination of seven categories
