AAMD Leadership Retreat Focuses on
Four Major Initiatives for 2015
D
uring September, the AAMD Board of Directors, Committee
Chairs and Staff spent two very successful and productive days
together at our annual planning retreat. The retreat had many
goals including providing an important platform for our volunteer leaders to guide the association’s long term goals, as well as enhance
our own individual leadership skills. The Board addressed our Strategic
Plan as well as evaluated several new elements and initiatives for the industry.
We evaluated the topic of attracting new talent to the industry and
why this is so very critical as our business continues to grow. Several
conclusions and action items were developed, including targeting high
schools, colleges and trade schools and the strategy in which we market
our industry (social media, broad based media and other platforms).
The second topic of discussion addressed the AAMD’s “SUGAR”
Program, which focused on “Strategic Unit Growth and Retention.” Some
of the conclusions and areas of focus included how to identify the top
AAMD services and products to promote AAMD and also where AAMD
falls short in the services and products we provide.
The third major topic focused on the Independent Rental Owners in
Denver. We are creating a refreshed branding of IROC Denver, and
