How AAMD is Promoting
Apartment Careers

ou may have seen a commercial or ad in your Facebook or
Instagram newsfeed in the last few months trying to convince
you that you need a new career in the apartment living industry. That’s the work of AAMD’s New Talent Initiative
With the apartment living industry growing exponentially in Denver,
the need for new talent is absolutely necessary for at least the next three
years. AAMD’s new initiatives work to aid in painting the apartment
industry as a viable career option complete with growing salaries and
advancement opportunities.
Apartment Day Initiatives
Working in tandem with NAA’s National Apartment Day on April
5, AAMD hosted five designated open houses throughout the Denver
metro area with the sole purpose of promoting apartments as a viable
career. Job seekers were able to walk in and speak with current management and maintenance professionals to get a real overall feel for the type
of work they could expect.
All open houses were successful in drawing in potential new talent,
as over half of the job seekers who attended an open house registered and
posted their resume on the Career Center at www.ProApartments.com.

Prior to the open houses, a team of community managers from Camden Property Trust staffed 9News’ Renter’s Line 9, answering the usual
tenant-landlord questions, but also receiving inquiries about careers in the
industry. 9News does a fantastic job of bringing industry needs to the
association’s attention, and we were able to directly address many questions
and concerns that better represented the apartment living industry.
A New Internet Presence
A new ProApartments.com was launched by AAMD as a center point
for both job seekers looking to find out more about the industry, and
