Person of the Year Finalists
Each year the Apartment Association recognizes someone as the
“Person of the Year.” The following seven finalists for the award were
announced at last month’s Rockies PowerMixer. Here is a brief overview
of the nominees. The winner will be recognized at June Awards.
LYNETT BROCKMAN
Career Options-Recruiting Solutions
A major contributor to Tributes, you will often find Lynett leading our public relations strategies.
Lynett has been instrumental in assessing opportunities for the public education campaign. She
serves as a co chair for the Association’s PR committee and she blends this important role with
expertise and insight at the Joint Legislative Advisory Council meetings.
AMY CARDINAL
Wallis Property Company, LLC
Amy continues to dedicate countless hours to IROC Denver. As a valuable member of the IROC
leadership team, Amy helps develop forum topics, bring in new speakers and secure suppliers
that service the small owners. Additionally,, Amy serves on the Career Initiative Committee and
has helped to enhance the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.
CHAD CRAVEN
ParkM
Chad volunteers countless hours to the Networking Council, Trade Show Committee and has
co-chaired the Career Initiative Committee for the past three years, playing an integral role in
the execution of the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program (MAP). Chad has attended each
graduation and prepared students for their next steps in a career in the apartment industry.

Nicolais LLC.
Teo has been among the most dedicated representatives of the Association to the media for
many years. He was IROC and Communications chair this past year. He presented material and
insight at both Economic Conferences. Teo also taught several AAMD classes, written press
releases and his efforts helped grow the Association. His leadership has elevated the AAMD to
new heights during it's 50th anniversary year.
TROY PORRAS
Wyatts Towing
Troy is a great supporter of AAMD with his company being represented in some capacity at
every single event, including presenting sponsor of Trade Show, Tributes, and Business to
Business. In addition to being Vice Chair for the Economic Conference, he sites on multiple
committees, and is a strong supporter of the AAMD Alliance. He engages his employees and
encourages them to be active in volunteering their time for our industry.
ROCKY SUNDLING
Greystar Real Estate Partners
Rocky is one of the most active and engaged leaders of our organization. This year he taught
several modules of our designation education programs, served as the President of the CAA;
served as Regional Vice President of NAA serving in a variety of roles at the national level;
served on JLAC and the AAMD Alliance and helped us maintain a strong voice at both the state
and national Capitol; and also served as Chairman of the Hall of Fame selection committee.
MIKE ZOELLNER
ZF Capital
Mike has chaired the AAMD Alliance for over a dozen years, while assisting with the
Association’s political contribution strategies to underscore the industry’s strength at the
state and local levels of government. He designed the blueprint for the City of Denver’s LIVE
program, and has helped strengthen our industry’s relationship with local government officials.
