Fox News Piece Puts AAMD in National Spotlight
1.4 Million
TOTAL ONLINE VIEWS TO DATE
In April, Fox News ran a national
story with the help of AAMD. Instead
of focusing on the price of rents, Fox
News wanted to show the economic impact multifamily has on markets
such as Denver. By highlighting that
home sales are down and apartment
construction is up, viewers were
shown that owning a house might
not be the American dream for everyone.
The story featured Mike Zoellner
and Cary Bruteig regarding sales and
vacancy numbers, and AAMD staff
member Jess Eymann about what it
is like to be a renter in today’s market.
This story was nationally syndicated in 26 different markets with a
total viewership of over 1.4 million
people. With an estimated publicity
value of over $84 thousand, the impact this story had on the nation is
sure to shine a positive light on what
Denver is accomplishing. By working
with Fox News to deliver quality content and reliable numbers, the Government Affairs staff managed to
secure a positive story in the midst
of an increasing amount of negative
headlines on multifamily.
