Fox News Piece Puts AAMD in National Spotlight 1.4 Million TOTAL ONLINE VIEWS TO DATE In April, Fox News ran a national story with the help of AAMD. Instead of focusing on the price of rents, Fox News wanted to show the economic impact multifamily has on markets such as Denver. By highlighting that home sales are down and apartment construction is up, viewers were shown that owning a house might not be the American dream for everyone. The story featured Mike Zoellner and Cary Bruteig regarding sales and vacancy numbers, and AAMD staff member Jess Eymann about what it is like to be a renter in today’s market. This story was nationally syndicated in 26 different markets with a total viewership of over 1.4 million people. With an estimated publicity value of over $84 thousand, the impact this story had on the nation is sure to shine a positive light on what Denver is accomplishing. By working with Fox News to deliver quality content and reliable numbers, the Government Affairs staff managed to secure a positive story in the midst of an increasing amount of negative headlines on multifamily.
