FIGHTING FOR YOU!
Saving the Industry $83 Million
T
hrough strategic endeavors and unyielding negotiations to combat proposed adverse legislative measures,
the Association’s Government Affairs
team prevailed, saving the multifamily industry
over $83 million dollars…over $462 dollars per
unit!
The Government Affairs team aptly lessened the financial and administrative impacts,
with guidance and directive from the Joint
Legislative Advisory Council, on select bills
from over 600 legislative proposals this past

measures.
Your Association’s Government Affairs Team

the Government Affairs staff participated in
over 1200 meetings with elected officials and
community leaders to promote multifamily
housing industry dynamics.
Through the AAMD Alliance, staff advanced
funding levels in recent elections totaling over
$200,000. Though numerous candidate interviews, the Government Affairs Team touted a
94% select rate on candidate wins. The Government Affairs Team continues to focus on
enhancing media and community relations and
is proactively creating affordable housing assistance community investment programs.
Staff continues to increase the awareness
of our industry’s ideals and is instrumental in
building and maintaining a beneficial image
