Welcome to AAMD's Golden Anniversary!

s I'm sure you have heard by now, the Apartment Association of
Metro Denver is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018!
In 1968, the Colorado Apartment Association Denver
Chapter - later renamed the Apartment Association of Metro Denver
- was formed by a small group of local apartment owners who felt it
necessary to protect their interests as small business operators. Over the
past 50 years, AAMD has continued to develop and enhance the level of
professionalism in the industry by offering education, networking,
legislative advocacy and information - all with the outstanding volun-
teerism from industry experts and resources.
This year is going to be an incredible year for AAMD, as we celebrate
our past and look towards the future of our organization! It all kicks off
with Econ 2018 later this month and our Throwback Ski Trip on February
2. T he Ski Trip will include a beautiful trip to Winter Park via the Ski
Train, several winter activities and an apre Ski party event slope side.
In April we’ll be celebrating and honoring the Women in our industry
with a special throwback “Women’s Division” event. Be sure to attend this

brunch event featuring a panel of some of the top women in our industry
as well as a keynote presentation.
At June Awards this year we’ll be inducting our final group of the first
50 into AAMD’s Hall of Fame. Don’t miss this special version of June
Awards Board Installation and Hall of Fame Dinner on June 21, 2018.
Our 50th Anniversary is also a Tributes Year! We will be celebrating,
recognizing and honoring the best and brightest stars in the apartment
business, as well as many of our newly developed communities.
This will be the party of all parties AAMD has ever thrown- mark
your calendars for November 9- we’ll be downtown at the Hyatt Hotel
where we’ll be taking up two ballrooms for this over the top celebration.
Don't forget to block off the Tributes Judging Dates: August 27-29 and
Sept. 4-6.
