CARY BRUTEIG
BY JEFF HAWKS
Greg is a strong supporter of the Apartment Association, ever since the days of working in
apartment brokerage. Omni Properties, the company he and his wife founded and owned
until it’s sale to Riverstone Residential in 2007, was made up of an amazing team.
Over the years, Greg encouraged his team members to be involved with the Apartment
Association, through volunteering their time, serving on leadership, attending events,
teaching classes and much more. Hundreds of Omni employees were involved and many
of the people who came out of Omni are still involved today.
Congratulations to Greg on growing an amazing business with an amazing team that
cemented its legacy in the Apartment Association.

Steve passed away last Fall in his Florida home at the

ARTHUR MCDERMOTT ON BEHALF OF STEVE IRA
Sandy Drago worked for Steve for over 15 years. Sandy and her husband vacationed with Steve and his wife every summer at
Lake Powell on a house boat. They called him Captain Blye due to him running a tight ship.
Pat Garcia remembers Steve loved country music. If she came in and he was singing “Amarillo by Morning” over the intercom, it
was going to be a good day. He loved George Strait and Lorrie Morgan. The highlight of his love for country music was meeting
Lorrie Morgan at NAA.
Thank you to Arthur McDermott for receiving Steve's award on his behalf.
