Speaking with an overall positive outlook on the market,
Jeff Hawks from ARA Newmark – a company specializing in
apartment sales – said he believes the record absorption rates
will continue and that the apartment industry will likely see
strong rents over the months to come. Relying on historic trends,
Hawks noted that Denver may have been the only market to
raise rents from 2007 to 2010. Combining available units with
in-migration means Denver is a continually growing city; a
claim which contradicts the earlier panel’s assumptions.
