APA ANNUAL REPORT 2014 When accountability is rooted in human rights, it is robust and multi-layered, and gives effect to the human rights principles of participation, empowerment and transparency. MEETINGS 12TH APA CONFERENCE Promoting Accountability and Addressing Inequalities: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights & Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific In 2014, over 40 members and partners of APA gathered from 15-16 October in Hanoi for the 12th APA Conference, organised in cooperation with the Vietnam Family Planning Association (VINAFPA). Participants discussed human rights accountability and its various forms — political, administrative and social — and strategies for ensuring that SRHR and accountability are embedded in the post-2015 development agenda.
