Dear AORE Members and Friends,
Greetings from the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education! I
hope this email finds you enjoying your summer while taking some time to
get out of the office and soak up some sun. It has been a busy couple of
months for AORE with the hiring of a new National Office staff member,
mid-year Board of Directors meetings, and planning for the 2015 Annual
Conference which runs November 18-20 in Atlanta, GA.
Our partners highlighted in this newsletter have stayed busy as well! In
this issue, you will find our partner’s current activities and research,
updates on organizational events and an announcement of our newest
Strategic Partner, the Association for Experiential Education. As you read
more, you will also find requests for your help through information sharing,
technology announcements, organization updates and educational
research news.
This sharing of information highlights our common goal of addressing
issues relevant to the outdoor industry. Our partners represent a variety of
industries and all work towards the goal of enhancing awareness and
access to outdoor recreation and education, complementing the AORE
mission and our membership’s interests.
As you enjoy the summer months at home, in the field or on vacation, we
encourage you to continually enjoy all the outdoor activities and be mindful
of your role in environmental stewardship.
