The Research and Publications Committee presents scholarly pursuits throughout the year, awards two Student Literary Awards every year, and supports research through the AORE Research Grant.

AORE offers scholarships for professional skill development to student and professional members. These scholarships are donated by AORE vendor members.

We have forged closer relationships with the National Park Service, through a general agreement, and the U.S. Forest Service, through our Outdoor Access Working Group.

AORE is thinking more globally. Recent trips to China and Peru have put us in a position to develop intentional international programming and extend our reach globally.

Through the developmental opportunities and experiences AORE delivers, we empower individuals and groups to serve themselves and their communities with programs and services that are relevant and important. AORE members benefit from attending the annual conference, expanding their professional networks, learning best practices, gaining access to certification standards, and being able to draw on a community of like-minded people for guidance and advice as they navigate their careers. AORE strives to help members succeed in their jobs, on an individual level, and to elevate and support the outdoor recreation and education field, on a broad level.
