The BOD is responsible for:

Executive director

AORE’s executive director reports to the BOD and attends the board’s meetings. She provides written reports of her activities, demonstrating congruence with board-stated policy. The executive director’s responsibilities include

- overall operation and management direction for the marketing, sales, and execution of AORE’s programs and services;

- preparing and executing AORE’s operation budgets; and

- acting as AORE’s agent in negotiations with all third parties.

The executive director has authority over AORE’s staff and volunteers regarding the delivery of AORE goods and services, as well as the authority to hire, fire, supervise, and monitor all AORE consultants, vendors, and independent contractors.

Committees

AORE uses committees to delegate and direct leaders and work to support the mission. Committees are made up of members and are led by a chair and chair-elect. Ideally, all committees include members from each member tier, to offer a wider perspective on subject matter as well as provide mentorship and networking opportunities. Each committee and task force have a board-approved charter that clarifies expectations and deliverables.
