ANN ARBOR, MICH.—March 1, 2017—The Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) is pleased to announce that Osprey is the newest official AORE365 Alliance Partner. This two-year partnership program was developed to provide our industry partners with opportunities to align with AORE’s mission and to show their commitment to the outdoor recreation industry.

“Osprey Packs has been a longtime supporter of AORE and its member programs,” said Mitch Hoffman, a member of the AORE Board of Directors. “We have built a great relationship over the years working with both Sam Mix and Blair Volpe to move our collective missions forward with the AORE demographic. Welcoming Osprey as an AORE365 partner is the next step in working collaboratively to help AORE further its strategic mission to bring outdoor recreation and education to the next generation of users.”

Osprey has sponsored two of AORE’s annual awards and a conference event, and it has also

raised money for AORE

through its pro purchase program, which gives a portion of each pro purchase

to a designated organization. AORE was one of three designated organizations in 2015.

Osprey’s mission is to create innovative high-performance gear that reflects a love of adventure and devotion to the outdoors. Since Osprey was founded in 1974, every single product design has passed through the hands of owner and founder Mike Pfotenhauer, undergoing relentless scrutiny. Osprey’s headquarters is in southwest Colorado, and the company has a product development office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, that employs 30 people. There, the company ensures that fair labor standards are being met and maintains face-to-face relationships with the factories that build Osprey packs.

The AORE365 Alliance Partnership program is a unique opportunity for industry partners to help build and maintain year-round, 365-day relationships with AORE members and the outdoor recreation and education community nationwide. AORE members should expect to see more information on Osprey in the coming weeks and months, and specifically at the 2017 Annual Conference, highlighting the new partnership. If you have
