The Research Symposium featured 10 presentations of emerging research in the outdoor recreation and education field and 12 poster presentations.

You can access the research and poster session abstracts in the digital proceedings found here (and it is posted on aore.org under the Conference Research Symposium tab). Review the headway being made in the field!

The winners of the “Best Research Poster Award" are four students (three of whom are undergraduates) from Old Dominion University (pictured with their professor, Eddie Hill, CPRP). The winners of the "Best Research Poster and Oral Presentation" are given a free book. This year, three of the four authors of one book, Outdoor Leadership, were present at the conference. Three of the authors signed the book and then presented it to the students…they were speechless, especially considering those three undergraduate students currently use the book in one of their ODU classes.
