Grand Canyon University’s Outdoor Recreation Program has only been operational for 2 years. In 2016-2017, they joined AORE and have served 515 unique participants and 978 total participants. They had 34 unique and awesome adventures throughout Arizona, Utah, California, and Nevada. They saw an increase of 59% In participants and 42% in programming from the first year of operation!
Ithaca College’s Outdoor Adventure Leadership continued to expand student leadership opportunities in 2016. Highlights included a screening of American Ascent with guest speaker Scott Briscoe, delivering adventure workshops for IC’s Athletic Department, and serving pancakes to the climbing community at Climbers Coffee in Joshua Tree’s Hidden Valley Campground!
