In early 2014, Osprey Packs chose to redesign and upgrade our current program packs, the Escalante series. As we began this process, we decided to solicit feedback from the programs that use our products. Having worked with AORE and attended the conferences, it was decided that AORE’s listserv would be the best opportunity for Osprey to gather information on what changes would be most useful for the new packs. Not knowing what to expect, we created a basic survey directed at program pack use, durability and what was missing from the current line of products being offered. Within a day of submitting our survey to AORE, we received more responses than we could keep up with. The relevant feedback that we received from this survey far exceeded our expectations! After sorting through and organizing the comments, we were able to compile a large list of items that we had not considered for the upgrades to our new program packs.

During the 2014 AORE conference in Portland Oregon, Osprey was able to introduce the (all new) redesigned Escalante series program packs. While at the conference, I was amazed at how many people stopped by the Osprey booth to tell me that they participated in the survey and wanted to see the upgrades that were added. It is with great pride that Osprey can say that our program packs were created and developed by and with the entire AORE community.

When we tell our customers that Osprey has raised the bar for standards in program packs, we have AORE to thank for assisting in this process.
