INTERVIEW

Since then, De'Leon, who also received her own day (February 7) in Los Angeles as proclaimed by former Mayor James K. Hahn, has made sure not to rest on her laurels.

In addition to that, De'Leon started The Lunden De'Leon Foundation, where she encourages young children to follow their dreams, in just the determined way she did.

Anzzia: Tell me about what you're working on now.

Lunden: I recently filmed the movie “Angels Prayer” portraying the wife of a slain police officer. I will also star in the thriller “Transversal” filming in Georgia this summer.

Anzzia: Describe your acting style.

Lunden: The best description for my acting style is dramatic with an edge. The female Samuel L. Jackson. He’s the greatest actor to ever walk this earth.

Do you have a preference for theatre or film?

Anzzia: Tell us a bit about yourself and your artwork.

Lunden: I was raised in South Carolina. After high school, I found a job flipping fries at Burger King. I saved enough money to buy a one-way bus ticket to California. While there, I found a roommate who was a struggling actress. One day, she asked me to tag along with her to an audition. I went, auditioned and got the part. Soon after that, I signed a one year deal with her agent and went on to book a number of other tv and film roles.

Anzzia: What kind of roles have you performed throughout your career?

Lunden: I’ve portrayed all types of roles. I was a vampire in the movie “Cryptz” which went on to become a cult classic. I was an attorney in “Pure Justice” and received a few “best actress” nominations for that role. I was also the “best friend” in the romantic comedy “Sweet Home Carolina” and the list goes on. I’ve been extremely blessed to have the opportunity to play a number of interesting and strong women.
