picked me up and I had brought all of these clothes with me from D.C. and

they drove me around to different locations. They brought a smoke machine,

all of these different things. They just shot this whole music video for me and edited it and everything, for free. Because they liked the song.

Anzzia: Yes. That's amazing! See, it happens! You meet good people.

Cha Cha: that was kind of like, that gave me another little boost of “You know what? I'll put another one out.” and so I put Bougie. That song I submitted to, have you ever heard of Black and Sexy TV?

Anzzia: I have, yes.

Cha Cha: I submitted that to one of their series called Broke and Sexy and they ended up licensing it for one of the episodes. The episode was called Broke and Bougie.

Anzzia: /laughs

Cha Cha: So, they put it in there and I was just amazed by the fact that like people were using my song for things. So, I was like, I should do this! I should put a CD together.

Anzzia: Yes, no for real, brilliant idea! Absolutely love it.

Cha Cha: Stuff like that, it's like a constant battle with myself. With everything, I do of this kind of fighting old feelings of not being good enough or not being talented enough and just pushing myself to do it anyway. Even though I'm nervous and I'm scared and...

Anzzia: you don't want people to judge your work and this is your passion, yeah I feel you. 100%.

Cha Cha: Or, just that old feeling from childhood of like, I don't want people to make fun of me. You just have to get over it. /laughs

Anzzia: At the end of the day, everybody that is pursuing their dreams, has haters. Its unfortunate, but it is also somewhat a sign that you are moving in the right direction.

Cha Cha: I just realized I can't just like, keep it to myself because I have tried to just be content with a day job and going to work every day and leading the more traditional life or whatever that means. It just never worked out for me. I think about music and acting and pictures and I think about that stuff all of the time. All the time. I don't even enjoy watching movies at the theater because all I think about is myself in this movie.

Anzzia: /laughs

Cha Cha: /laughs

Anzzia: Yeah, I do that sometimes too. I just think it's because we're artists. /laughs So, do you remember the first song that you ever wrote?

Cha Cha: The first song that I ever wrote? Oh my gosh. It's probably a love song. I used to write a lot of love songs.

Anzzia: Yeah? Then let's jump into the creation of your album. Now your very first album. Now that your preparing to drop it, what was your creative process like?

Cha Cha: Well, I'm still working on it. I could release it now because I have enough stuff recorded. However, I keep writing new stuff and I like the new stuff I'm writing. So, I've been making myself work on it a little bit every day just to make sure that I finish by the end of this month. But, I've really just been going off of emotions. Like, different feelings I'm having. I'll record an example of a song for myself and then will listen to it over and over on my iPhone. If I find that I can listen to a song multiple times and it can make me daydream, it's a good song.

Anzzia: I like that.

Cha Cha: If it doesn't make me daydream then I know it's not hitting the right spots. Because when I listen to music that I enjoy, it takes me somewhere else and it makes me daydream like some kind of scenario. Daydream me performing it. It has to take me out of my body for me to really like the song. So, I have all of the songs that make me feel that way, which I think I do. I still have to record some of these ideas I have. Then I'll be happy with it. I just want to listen to like, when I finish recording everything, I'll listen
