Three or four verses written for Trailblazer. I had no clue it was going to happen. I rewrote that there. I went back and it is too much! I have to go back and simplify this and I just went like, "No, this has to be just brutally in your face simple so it really hits." and I am really glad I did that and got great feedback. You know, Black Sky was built off a riff that Bobby did and then it became what it became and it is just amazing watching the way when you get a bunch of people who

care about a project together. Like, that the synthesizing of our spirit, of our talent, of the people just really caring about creating something. Great experience here at home. Definitely elevated it to the next level when we got to Germany. Yes, the editing process. Yes, the simplifying everything and it was more about taking away layers and making really clean approaches to things and you can't duplicate that experience. I just hope we can do even better the next time around.

But, wow! I knew what I wanted to say as a lyricist. As the mission of the project. But, watching the soundscapes being developed really told me what each song wanted to say. If that makes sense. These Years of Silent Screams is a song that also got very vulnerable, it got very, it got deep and it did have a little bit more ferocity and hurt in it. Which empowerment comes with the journey through our healing.
