Meka: Well, we do our writing here. We sketch out songs and we just throw stuff by each other. We will be riffing and then we will go from there. This is the first album, because previous albums in my career I spent a lot of time writing a song and then presenting it to people and you know, that is limited. With just being one person with my level of guitar playing or, whatever my limitations were.
This was I think one of the first experiences where it was like, completely throwing ideas out and piece them together as a whole. Especially Bobby and Joey. We had Chris play drums with us at the time because he just wanted to write with us and he was a great drummer before Nick came along. He was another great person who just wanted to add to the experience. Have you heard Jay play the piano?
Have you heard what he does? Even then like, just the way it all builds and forms together, all of us will just be sitting around at Bobby's apartment in front of the computer and all giving our opinion, you know? Throwing just, you energy at each other. Like, "Oh, yeah!" and instead of just writing it and saying, "Okay, this is done.", I will sing each part and I can add this, or this, or this. Literally up to the last moment in Germany.
