DOLFINA TORO Enters
the Hall of Fame

At an event held at the Campo Argentino de Polo,
within the framework of the 2018 Argentine Open Polo
Championship Semi-finals, Bartolomé Castagnola,
“Lolo”, became recipient of the horse-blanket at the
hands of the President of the Argentine Polo Pony
Breeders’ Association, Santiago Ballester, for the
entry of Dolfina Toro to the Hall of Fame, inaugurated
at the end of 2017. It is worth recalling that the historic
horse died on May 8 th. last year, at the age of 18 years.
Multi-champion; a fighter and temperamental, these
are only some of his attributes.
“One
sometimes doesn’t appreciate the things
that horse did. I knew his worth; it makes
me feel emotional. I feel he was a key
element in my life. He was impressive;
a horse that on Field N°1 at Palermo
became alive; he liked to play on the
N°1 Field at Palermo; he impressed me
by the speed he reached; soft mouth,
everything…’un animal’.”
