pre-paid gratuities
to pay for anything onboard a royal
caribbean cruise ship you need a seapass.
this multi-purpose card acts as your
onboard id, stateroom/suite key and
charge card for any onboard purchases.
you can set it up online before you leave,
or at the pier when you arrive for check-in.
gratuities, or tips, are standard on royal
caribbean ships, but can be pre-paid
before you sail. if you decide not to prepay, an automatic charge of $12.00 per
guest per day (or $14.25 if you are staying
in a grand suite) will be added to your
seapass account. any beverage, minibar, spa or salon purchases made while
onboard include an additional gratuity
charge of 15%.
your seapass can be registered to a credit
card — visa, mastercard, american express,
optima discover and diner’s card are all
accepted — or set up as a cash account,
although there are daily spending limits on
cash accounts depending on your cruise
duration. you
