We have provided meals and small gifts of encouragement.  Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Our church began a new way for more people to get involved in the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. The daughter of a deceased secretary of our church, who loved collecting and preparing shoeboxes, started a year-long project of collecting for the boxes. It was named “Shirley’s Boxes.” This has involved just about everyone in our church. We sent 1,331 boxes in the Fall of 2017. • Cleveland’s Downtown Block Party Each year our church has a booth at the Downtown Block Party and makes pictures of people participating in the Block Party with a back-drop of a church and the year on it. The pictures are on our website for participants to download. Each person is contacted after the Block Party and invited to special services. • Children’s Ministry The Preschool & Children’s Department were involved in VBS providing Bible stories, crafts, and snacks for the children of the church, community and NCBC Child Development Center. There were 300 workers and children involved. Trunk or Treat was a community event with games, slides, food, horse rides, music and more. There were approximately 250 people involved. Another community event is Easter Fest. We provide games, slides, and Hot Dogs. NORTH CLEVELAND BAPTIST CHURCH GAs Jerusalem (Local)  The girls were involved in the New Hope Pregnancy Walk for Life. The girls participated in a Sweet Pals  Church Luncheon with their Senior Ladies Pen Pals. The girls  Partners with Family Promise – once a quarter NCBC handed out water bottles on the Cleveland/Bradley provides a place for families that are a part of the Family County Greenway. Promise program providing a place to eat and sleep for one week every three months. At least 30 people from our  RAs  The boys collected toiletries, small toys and testaments church have been involved in this mission. for Christmas in August  NCBC contributes financially to local groups: Baptist  Youth Collegiate Ministries, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Fifty of our youth were involved in Ministry Night Cleveland Community Shelter, Court Appointed Special assisting with Operation Christmas Child boxes.
