1. The Ministry Development Team of CrossNet Baptist Network met on Wednesday, August 8,
2018 at the CrossNet office at10:00 a.m. with 11 in attendance.
2. Minutes were reviewed from the last meeting and stood as written.
3. Bro. Phil Taylor proceeded with a devotion based on Jeremiah 9:23-24.
4. Prayer requests were made and prayer was led by Christy Johns and Mike Wallin.
5. Steven Johnston with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries talked about the change in mission trip
from Nicaragua to Puerto Rico. John Simmons helped him immensely to make this change go
smooth. BCM will be welcoming students back on August 27 th with an event called “Bowling
with Strangers.” He announced the State of Tennessee has hired an associate for the BCM, Haley
Hood, a University of Tennessee graduate. Mike Wallin mentioned she would be staying in the
Michigan Avenue Baptist parsonage.
6. Randy Bonner presented an update on Washington DC missions and proceeded next onto
Live2Tell and pointed out some churches are going to do “The Unvarnished Truth” study in small
groups. He also gave an update on the disaster relief mission in Puerto Pico.
7. Eric Atkins reported on a local shelter and chapel that Mike Hinkle and Dennis Tweed have
previously worked on in Puerto Rico.
8. Randy Bonner discussed the repair on the “Church Without Walls”. Estimated repair is $800,000
and the insurance company wants to settle with them for $250,000.
9. Randy presented a wrap-up on Ocoee Outreach this summer. Overall, it was a good summer.
10. Bro. Phil Taylor reminded everyone of the Fall Meeting at Philippi, on October 1 st with guest
speaker, Joey Hanner. A meal will be catered for the business meeting. This is a good time to
elect your church messengers for the meeting, messenger need to be there for the 5:30 p.m.

11. Bro. Phil Taylor gave an update on Four Point Baptist Church.
12. Bro. Phil Taylor moved onto new items and said that on September 19 th , two churches are to be
voted on for admission into CrossNet Baptist Network. They are New Union and Matthews Table
Church.
13. Bro. Phil says that First Baptist Church of Cleveland is doing a very good job in transition to a
new pastor.
14. September 19 th was announced for the next MDT meeting.
15. Meeting was adjourned with prayer.

4. Stephen Johnston of the BCM announced Haley Hood, the new assistant, is helping a lot. There
were 65 students this year on the Fall Retreat. Students made big decisions. Thanks for all the
support.
5. Randy Bonner announced the disaster relief is on standby mode for the Carolinas. There is
flooding inland and the shower trailer, mud out team and chainsaw team is ready to go. Waiting
