Story 1: O2 Staffer, Ronny Rutherford
while roofing on one of our projects was
offered a cup of coffee by 54 year old
home owner, Jimmy. Ronny, not being
a coffee drinker politely declined and
continued to roof… until the Lord got his
attention. He climbed down the ladder
and sat outside w/Jimmy, while he en-
joyed his coffee. What started w/a few
moments of casual conversation turned
into a spiritual conversation. Ronny
shared the Gospel which resulted in
Jimmy surrendering his life to Christ!
Story 2: O2 mission team, Egypt
Elam Baptist, Guyton, GA has been
serving at the same apartment complex
in Cleveland the last few summers.
Through the combination of building re-
lationships and day camp ministry and
community block parties, they had 7
people respond to Christ that were bap-
tized by Pastor Paul the last week of
June!
Story 3: A Block Party w/O2 mission
teams assisting FBC Charleston had no
sooner started at Charleston Park when
heavy rain and storms ensued. Amaz-
ingly, approx. 200 people including vol-
unteers stayed and huddled under the
pavilion to listen to Pastor Mike from
Bethlehem Baptist, Conway, SC share a
story of hope and the Gospel. God qui-
eted hearts and the storm as 21 people
responded to Christ!
