CROSSNET DISASTER RELIEF AT WORK IN TEXAS, FLORIDA, PUERTO RICO & THE CAROLINAS CrossNet Baptist Network continues to PRAY, GIVE & GO in responding to 4 major hurricanes over the past 12 months. Thank you for your continued support. There is great value in networking and partner- ships. Here are the highlights & additional deployments to come at this time: BY THE NUMBERS (Since September 2017):  More than $110,000 has been received from CrossNet Churches & individuals for Disaster Relief ef- forts.  $36,000 has been distributed to Texas to aid churches with Hurricane Harvey recovery through the Union Baptist Association of Houston.  $15,000 has been distributed to the South Central Baptist Association, Texas (Gambrell Baptist Asso- ciation) to help families recover from FBC Sutherland Springs from the tragic shooting.  $50,000 has been used to aid the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico through our mission teams that have been deployed.  25 DR deployments mobilizing 255 volunteers from 24 CrossNet Baptist served in Houston and Florida in the fall of 2017.  CrossNet Baptist has facilitated 3 Disaster Relief Training Conferences that approx. 200 volunteers attended. HURRICANE HARVEY/HOUSTON DR DEPLOYMENTS  6 DR deployments (Shower/Laundry & Flood Recovery) mobilizing 46 volunteers from 12 CrossNet Churches served in Houston from Sept. 2017 - Nov. 2017.  CrossNet Shower/Laundry Trailer was in use for 3 months in the South Houston area.  CrossNet Team Leaders: Jim Polier (FBC Cleveland), Matt Ward (West Cleveland), Al Miller (Meadowview), Robert Rymer (Mt. Carmel), Wayne Morrison & Wayne Finnell (Westwood), Earl Far- ris (Georgetown). HURRICANE IRMA FRUITLAND PARK, FLORIDA DR DEPLOYMENTS  3 DR deployments (Chainsaw) mobilizing 23 Volunteers from 6 CrossNet Churches served in Fruit- land Park in September 2017.  CrossNet Team Leaders: Bill McConnell (Westwood), Ron Chastain (Waterville), Ken Ritenour (FBC Cleveland). HURRICANE MARIA, GUAYAMA, PUERTO RICO DR DEPLOYMENTS  16 DR deployments (Rebuild & Feeding) mobilizing 186 volunteers from 24 Churches served in Guayama from Nov. 2017 - present.  CrossNet Team Leaders: Jim Polier (FBC Cleveland), Jake Beard (Candies Creek), Lawrence Cotton (Bellefounte), Andrew Frazier (Parkway), Dennis Tweed (Candies Creek), Clint Davis (Eastanallee), Eric Atkins (New Friendship), Al Miller (Meadowview), Jason Cox (North Cleveland), Mike Hinkle (Candies Creek), Bo Dunkle (Eastanallee/Etowah), Steve Houser (FBC Cleveland).  Additional Puerto Rico Deployments? CrossNet is in the process of determining when to send a final round of teams to Guayama to assist with the church repairs. Pray for the insurance company for Pastor Pablo Ortiz and his church - “The Church Without Walls” to come through with funds to repair the church .  HURRICANE FLORENCE, NORTH CAROLINA  Our Shower/Laundry Unit & Team is currently serving in Wilmington, NC  Chainsaw/Flood Recovery Team(s) currently serving in Moorehead City, NC (more deployments to come).
