RY Implementation of literacy mentor roles, institution of new common assessments and methodologies focused on phonological awareness, and growth in language acquisition across Nursery, PreKindergarten and Kindergarten. Consistent measurable MAP growth in math for grades 3, 4 and 5 following the the implementation of ALEKS for the second year. Development of units focused on the writing fundamentals applied within genres such as short stories, informational texts, personal narratives, memoirs and essays in our Upper Elementary Spanish Department. Eighth consecutive year for students in Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 to score above MAP global norms in reading, language usage and math. Increase in outreach programs with schools in the western hemisphere within our fine arts, music and Spanish classes. Training in Project Based Learning for staff and unit design with a focus on social issues, science and student voice. Creation and implementation of a collegial observation program that promotes classroom visits and data collection in a collaborative, objective process. Leadership training focused on goal setting and data-driven dialogue protocols across grades 2, 3, 4 and 5. Increased events and parent attendance in events focused on Values, HOPE and the Green Team.
