Bylaw Enforcement
After using a Commissionaires contractor for the busy summer season, Council has given direction to hire a summer
Bylaw Enforcement officer for the May to September period.
Service Awards
At the annual awards ceremony, LCFD fire fighter Gary Rawsthorne received a 25 year BC Long Service Award; Tyson
Kershaw received a 20 Year Exemplary Service Award and Bruce Boechler received a 15 year Pin.
Emergency Management Training
District of Lake Country staff participated in training to enable them to be actively involved in Emergency Operations
Centre (EOC) activations when necessary. Staff from the Infrastructure Services teams (Parks, Roads, Water)
participated in hands-on training with equipment to assist in protecting our community should it be required in an
emergency.
