The Star Medical Limited acquisition at the beginning of 2015 has been a notable success for the Uniphar Group , delivering well ahead of expectations in 2016 . Our core focus was driving the Star contract sales business , while retaining its market leading position as the UK ’ s number one pharmaco-medical recruitment agency . The management team have achieved this objective while converting many existing Uniphar clients to this model , as demonstrated by the 60 % growth in headcount and over 100 % growth in profitability over the last 12 months .
Our vision is to continue to differentiate the Star offering by integrating Uniphar ’ s capabilities in implementing innovative , end to end commercial and clinical solutions for our clients across Ireland and the UK . We had several important client wins for Star in 2016 including MSD , Flynn Pharma , Grunenthal , Leo , Bayer and Consiliant .
