A more in depth data on trends in caseloads also help
provide the court with advance warning of whether
current resources are likely to be able to handle any
developing increase or decrease in caseloads. Figure 5
shows that, the period August 2012 to January 2013
shows a decrease in the number of matters brought to
the Family High Court; and a further decrease in the
period February 2013 to July 2013 also the Family Magistrates’ Court showed a steady increase between August
2011 to January 2012 and August 2012 to January 2013.
