Table 11 illustrates the total number of new civil matters (CPR) filed over the last six
(6) years. This table also illustrates the marginal increases in the number of civil
matters filed since the 2010-2011 Law Term. The period 2012-2013 has an increase
of 0.04% over the previous Law Term 2011-2012.
For the period under review there has been three (3) types of matters that have
dominated matters filed, namely: Personal Action matters which accounted for
29.9% with one thousand, five hundred and sixty-three (1563), Commercial matters
for 28.6% with one thousand, four hundred and ninety-six (1496) and Land
matters for 16.4% with eight hundred and fifty-nine (859).
