Table 8 shows that there were five thousand, two hundred and thirty (5230) Civil
matters filed under CPR for the 2012-2013 Law Term, of these matters four
thousand, four hundred and seventy nine (4479) were trial matters and seven
hundred and fifty one (751) were non-trial matters. The non-trial matters are mainly
Bills of Sale, Admissions to the Bar and matters filed under Cooperatives Society Act.

Table 7 shows that there were five thousand, two hundred and thirty (5230) civil
matters filed in the High Court for the 2012-2013 law term, a marginal increase of
0.04% over the previous law term.
The information in Table 7 also shows that there were five thousand, two hundred and
forty-five (5245) civil matters comprising both RSC and CPR determined in the same
period. This represents a decrease of 3.6% or one hundred and ninety-four (194)
matters determined.
Although there was a slight increase in the number of matters filed and a decrease in
the number of matters determined, the Determined to Filing Ratio remained 1.0 for
the period under review.
