Table 37 above shows the disposition to filing ratio for all
Magisterial Districts. Overall the disposition to filing ratio
decreased by 0.4% from the 2011 – 2012 Law Term which was
0.7.
A comparison of the Disposition to Filing Ratio during the
period under review and that of the 2011-2012 law term shows
decreases in the ratios of the following districts for the 20122013 law term; Arima, Couva, Princes Town, Rio Claro,
Siparia and Tobago.
In the magisterial districts of Chaguanas, Sangre Grande, St.
George West and Tunapuna the disposition to filing ratio
increased. It remained the same in Mayaro and Point Fortin.
The district of San Fernando has two (2) Magistrates’ Courts,
both courts have disposal to filing ratios that are above 0.80.
