Licensure
Competent and qualified individuals are licensed to practise
veterinary medicine in Ontario.
Practice and conduct issues of licensed members are
investigated thoroughly and resolved fairly.
Quality Practice
Veterinarians actively participate in programs that assure
the provision of safe, quality veterinary medicine. Resources
are provided to promote the ongoing improvement of a
veterinarian’s practice.
Veterinary facilities are accredited to assure a safe,
professional environment.
Standards and Policy
Standards of practice, relevant public policy and the
provision of practice guidance improve the quality and
safety of veterinary care.
