The UH Cancer Center receives NCI-Designation ( P30 Cancer Center Support Grant ). In 2018 , the Center is one of only 70 research institutions designated by the National Cancer Institute .
2010
The Hawai ‘ i Cancer Consortium is established , which allows the UH Cancer Center to provide a clinical trials infrastructure facilitating access for more than two-thirds of the cancer patients in the state , with oversight of trials at The Queen ’ s Health Systems , Hawai ‘ i Pacifc Health , Kuakini Health System and numerous private practices in the State .

The grand opening of the UH Cancer Center in Kaka ‘ ako occurs on February 12 .
