Multidisciplinary Care Activities
The HIV clinic has been treating patients and their
families for more than 16 years. The medical team
has a close collaboration with the psychosocial
department and the results of their joint work are
remarkable:
* 889 active HIV/AIDS patients benefited from
psychosocial and medical assistance
* 77.51% of treatment-initiated patients had an
adherence of> 95% (considered optimal for the anti-
HIV treatment)
* 48 new patients accessed family planning service
in 2017; most of them are in the 25- to 29-year age
category
* Over 78% of patients who accessed family
planning services use an effective contraceptive
method
* 37.96% of all psychosocial and medical
interventions unfolded in the community, at
beneficiaries’ homes.
Healthy children born to HIV-infected parents give us hope and confidence that our
team strive improves our beneficiaries’ lives
