Objective 1: Meeting Need
By 2021, we will:
Increase the number of homes owned and developed
The Group continues to pursue a development programme and now
has 12,638 homes in management. The Affordable Housing Programme
ended in March 2016 and the Prospectus for the next bidding round
was issued in April. The Board has given consideration to development
of Shared Ownership and homes for sale to support the development
of affordable homes for rent. The bid will be a Matrix wide submission
and the HCA have stated that good performing partnerships are their
preferred delivery vehicle for the building of new homes in the new
programme. The Accord Group will also review wider funding options to
support its development ambitions.
Increase the number of homes manufactured at the LoCaL
Homes factory
The Group has already seen increased output through the LoCaL Homes
timber frame factory in its own development programme and this has
been enhanced by the external sales of units to a number of other
providers right across the UK including Peterborough, Cornwall and
South Yorkshire.
