W
hen a concern is raised about a doctor’s behaviour,
health or performance, we investigate to see if
the doctor is putting the safety of patients, or the
public’s confidence in doctors, at risk.
If the concerns are confirmed, we have the powers to issue a caution, suspend or place conditions on the physician’s registration or
remove a doctor from practice.
Protecting patients from harm is one of the College’s most important duties.
