SHARING AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor
visited the school and spent time with students
and school community members last fall. During
an inspiring introduction the Justice told the
packed auditorium of more than 300 adult learner
students, “You will make this a better place.” Then
the Justice answered selected student questions
from the more than 100 submitted. Students asked
about the Justice’s dreams and failures, and sought
advice on managing time, raising children, and
achieving success. Following the Q&A, the Justice
visited classrooms to spend time with students
in action.
