uting to medical education in a
very direct way.
“We feel that it is important
for medical students to have a
relationship with the College
before they graduate, to understand that there is a resource for
them to turn to when they need
answers when the inevitable
questions arise,” said Rocco
Gerace, College Registrar. “This
knowledge of us – and all that we offer in terms of guidance –
gives them a running start when they actually begin to care for
patients in their practices,” he said.
Voting in Council Elections Goes
Electronic
The CPSO believes that any effort that we could make to encourage physicians to vote in a Council election is worth doing. That
is why we were so pleased that the move to online voting in last
year’s district elections was met with so much enthusiasm – and
increased voter participation.
Voter participation was between 5 to 10% higher than it has been
previously with paper ballots.
And in fact, many of those eligible to vote took the opportunity to
remark on the convenience and ease of this new paperless system.
So, the votes are counted – online voting is here to stay.
