New Health Center Partners Welcome LMC Dental was proud to form relationships with the following quality community health centers. Our partnerships will enable us to accelerate our mission to improve lives by reaching further into communities in need. The Palm River Community Health Center—Florida The Palm River Community Health Center in Tampa, Florida—part of Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc -joined the LMC Dental family in March, 2014 as a new site for the Pediatric Dentistry program. The LMC-affiliated health center opened a new 7-chair pediatric dental center in 2014 and is the first pediatric dental residency program in Hillsborough County, Florida. The Family HealthCare Network —California LMC Dental partnered with the Family HealthCare Network Program (FHCN) in California to establish an AEGD dental residency program. The new dental residency program is built on more than 20 years of dental experience offered by FHCN— which has six dental sites across multiple counties in their California region. A seventh site is scheduled to open in December. FHCN is a nationally recognized organization that operates community health centers in Tulare and Kings Counties. Since 1976, the organization has ensured access to quality and affordable health care for individuals and generations of families serving 188,413 patients in its surrounding communities. Post-doctoral dental residents began their first year of advanced training at FHCN in July, 2014. Eight new residency openings—July 2014 AEGD announced eight new CODA approved residency openings in five established LMC Dental training sites beginning in July 2014. The CODA approved increases were granted at the CODA 2013 winter meeting.
