WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CULINARY ARTS ACADEMY This program offers culinary arts courses at two levels: fundamentals and advanced. The fundamentals class focuses on sanitation and safety, knife skills, measurements and weight, menu planning, and food preparation. The advanced classes focus on menu development, cost control, front-of-the-house skills, and baking and pastry. Students are prepared to pass the ServSafe Certification exam. The workforce development courses, offered through three career training academies, provide theoretical and hands-on learning geared toward English language learners.
