As for the fishing , the winds made boat positioning difficult and fishing seems to turn to a grind . Four of the LBT teams put in a solid performance on day 1 , namely , Imbongolo , Bass Brothers , Angling & Outdoor and Team Venom Lures with Etienne and Felicity Carey of team Imbongolo weighing in the largest bag from the LBT teams . 6.75kg ’ s .
With most teams unfamiliar with Heyshope dam and having a bad day fishing , all teams were eager to take revenge on the fishing of day 1 .
Once again the LBT teams were first on the water followed shortly by the other competing trails . Day 2 however turned out the complete opposite of day 1 with regard to the weather . Anglers were met with calm winds and rain . A frightning thunderstorm also rolled through the area while anglers awaited the 6am blast off .
Unfortunately fishing also took a turn for the worse with most of the hotspots on the dam being pressured on day 1 , out top LBT teams couldn ’ t manage to bag a limit of fish .
The highlight of the day had to be Team Bullet ’ s standout performance in these tough fishing conditions . They managed to catch the 2nd biggest fish of the tournament ( 3.17kg ) and weighed in a limit of bass to a weight of 6.77kg , moving them far up the overall standings after their day 1 weight of 1.84kg ’ s .
