Launching Process BASS TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP 2017 Please ensure that your boat is ready to launch before entering the launch queue. This includes boat plugs in, boat straps off, covers off etc. - BASS TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER & SUNDAY 3 DECEMBER 2017.05.15 We would like to have all teams launched before the start of the captains meeting. - FOUR TRAILS WILL PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR – LOWVELD BASS TRAIL(LOWVELD) ; ANGLERS FOR ANGLERS TRAIL (MPUMALANGA); E-BASS TRAIL (GAUTENG) & JOEY’S TOWING TRAIL (NATAL) LBT committee members will instigate the launching process and direct all traffic accordingly. Please adhere to the instructions in order to not block any access to and from the launching site. - VENUE WILL BE HEYSHOPE DAM NEAR PIET RETIEF – REASON BECAUSE IT IS A BIG DAM WITH LITTLE FISHING PRESSURE AND IT IS CENTRAL. With the high water levels, launching is relatively easy. You are also requested to use the parking lights of your vehicle when backing up to the water as to avoid blinding people further up the slipway with headlights. - EACH TRAIL WILL SEND 5 TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE – LBT CRITERIA TO FISH IN THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE TOP 4 TEAMS ON THE LOG + WINNING TEAM OF THE FINAL IN OCTOBER. IF THE FINAL WINNER IS A TEAM IN TOP 5 OF THE LOG THEN THE TOP 5 TEAMS WILL REPRESENT THE LBT Weather No accurate long term weather forecasts available, but with this being a Highveld dam, be sure to pack warm clothes as wind and rain is not unlikely this time of the year. - THE OBJECT IS NOT TO MIX AND MATCH ANGLERS FROM DIFFERENT TEAMS – THE TEAM AS WHOLE MUST PARTICIPATE. IF A MEMBER OF A TEAM CANNOT FISH THE TEAM WILL HAVE TO FORFEITT AND THE NEXT TEAM ON LOG WILL BE GIVEN OPPORTUNITY. Pre-fishing Please take note that the LBT rules state that no pre-fishing is allowed 5 days in advance of any regular scheduled event. Pre-fishing is not only limited to lines in the water but also includes scouting fishing locations and graphing lake contours.
