2017 Lowveld Bass Trail Round4 : Nooitgedacht Dam – 13 May 2017
F or the first time in LBT history , Nooitgedacht dam will be the venue for the 4th stop of the 2017 tour .
Bringing multiple challenges from presenting anglers with new water and bass behaving differently than Lowveld bass and considerably colder weather .
One has to wonder whether the fish will still be in their Autumn feeding frenzy or are they maybe relocating to their Winter time hideouts with recent cold fronts hitting Mpumalanga . Being a Highveld dam and annually being scheduled in other bass trails , reports indicate that the dam does have an abundant population of bass . We sure look forward to presenting our first LBT event on Nooitgedacht dam .
They dam hasn ’ t seen the low water levels as some of our other LBT venues offering the fish a more stable environment . With water levels rising during the first quarter of 2017 from the mid 70 ’ s to the current volume of 90.3 % ( 70.8 Million Cubic Meters of 70.8 Million Kilolitres ).
