First 10 fish of the day was caught by Vernon Voster , Jaden Bint , Dewald Hough , Jeremy van Aard , Charles Friend , Kyle Zimmer , Clive Browne , Bennie Mattheus , Michael Lines jnr and Hilton Gervais . they all won R200 cash sponsored by Red Alert , Maxe cooler bag and Raptor Polorised sunglasses .
Most species were caught by Dean Meintjies . ( Cob , sandshark and elf ). Dean won a Lowrance Fish finder and 1 year free boat insurance from Club Marine . Top boat angler was Hein Gerber and he won a Penn rod , reel and braid from Pure Fishing , Angling Times gift , Cerebos hamper and a Trip for 12 on the Maggie May .
No fish was caught by a bank and kayak angler . Top senior was Hein Gerber , top lady Nicole Janse Van Rensburg and top junior was Michael Lines jnr . They all won R1 000 cash from Nissan Eastern Cape , Penn Rod , Bearing Mann hamper .
Only 7 of the 10 species were caught . Species were caught by Dewald Hough with a grunter of 74cm , Raymond Botha with a cob of 97cm , Chetna Doolabh with a gurnard of 65cm , Hiton Gervais with a diamond ray of 141cm , Dean Meintjies with a sand shark of 93cm and an elf of 40cm and Adrian Fourie with a river bream of 36cm . The R10 000 , sponsored by Williams Hunt Uitenhage , was won by Raymond Botha whose name was pulled last out of the hat . Dean Meintjies received the R5 000 sponsored by Pennypinchers and R500 cash prize sponsored by WK Construction .
Chetna Doolabh won the 4th prize of R1 500 sponsored by WK Construction and Adriaan Fourie won the 3rd prize of R3 000 sponsored by Air & Fluids Importers .
Team Rapala tagged a 42cm grunter the day before the event and unfortunately the tagged fish was not caught . The R3 000 that was sponsored by Kubota then went
