ACCOLADES and greetings of felicitations from Pinoys swarmed Marlisa Punzalan after winning the X Factor 2014 last month. Marlisa, only 15 years old, has become a star and a hot topic in social media sites. “Congratulations, you are the greatest,” said one fan who posted a comment in an AK video in Youtube. “She’s the next international superstar,” posted another. “The Philippine Community Council of NSW joins our kababayans in congratulating you for being the 2014 X Factor Winner. May this be the start of your promising career. The Filipino community is proud of you as you are proud of being Filipino,” came a statement from the PCC-NSW. Even MPs from Sydney West which hosts a big number of Filipino-Australian residents took time to congratulate the X Factor winner. Marlisa resides in Glendenning in Blacktown LGA.
