Where will I apply for a marriage licence? The parties will then apply for a marriage licence at the Local Civil Registrar’s Office where they wish to marry. The applicant must allow or be in the Philippines at least 10 days before the scheduled wedding as the processing period for the marriage licence is 10 days from the date of application. The Filipino applicant shall provide to the Civil Registrar the following documents: (a) birth certificate or baptismal certificate (a) community tax certificate (c) ID picture (d) certificate of Family Planning and Marriage Counselling (e) death certificate if the applicant is a widow or widower or (f) annulment order if the marriage of the applicant is annulled by the Court in the Philippines. For the Australian, the required documents are (a) Certificate of No Impediment of Marriage (b) ID picture (c) birth certificate and (d) Australian passport or Australian citizenship certificate.
